Terms & Conditions

Payment and Reservations.

Once we have discussed and agreed on your Adventure itinerary, we will send you our Bank details for payment. Upon receiving the funds, we will confirm your booking by email.

Motorcycle Insurance.

All our motorcycles are Taxed and Insured.

You must have your own travel and medical insurance.

Crash Helmets.

It is a condition of BBAT that all riders wear an approved crash helmet when riding our motorcycles.  We provide helmets if required or you may wear your own.

Riding Areas.

When out on the road, it is your responsibility to abide by the legal traffic regulations and also follow any instructions issued by the team leader.

Prices.

Prices shown on the website or brochures are correct when going to press. Fluctuating exchange rates may lead to variations.  Once we have received your funds, we will confirm your booking.

Special Requests.

If you have any special requests (e.g. birthday, allergies, diet, etc.)  Please inform us when you book your adventure.

Medical Conditions.

It is imperative that you inform us of any medical condition you may have.  This will not preclude you from riding, but it will significantly help us if we have to help you.

What is “NOT” included in your Borneo Biking Adventure & Tours?

Your travel and medical insurance.
Travel to and from Sabah.
Fines for motoring offences.
All personal expenditures.
Hotels- Beer- Wine – Spirits – Evening meals.

What “IS” included?

Your bike, an Aprilia Pegaso 650 Trail, is taxed and insured, fueled and ready to go daily.
Riding gear if needed.
A 4×4 Support vehicle will be in attendance where necessary or support rider.
Lunch and soft drinks while out riding.

Riders Driving Licenses.

You must be over 25 years old and hold a full motorcycle license or equivalent European or International Driving License.

International Driving is only required if your motorcycle license is in a language other than English or Bahasa.

Acknowledgement of BBAT’s Responsibilities.

Borneo Biking Adventures and Tours are responsible for providing and arranging an itinerary and services as described and depicted on the BBAT’s website or printed material.

In the event of a mechanical breakdown, BBAT will provide a similar bike.

BBAT is responsible for diligent adventure travel preparation and reserves the right to change and improve without notice its adventure tour content– adapting to changing conditions and situations as they arise.

BBAT uses its best endeavours to adhere to advertised itineraries. However, clients must understand that in some of the more undeveloped parts of Northern Borneo, programs may have to change.

BBAT is not responsible or liable for the loss or damage of personal property.

BBAT can not be held responsible or be held liable for any accidents, bodily injury, or death resulting from the use or involvement of BBAT motorcycles or the actions of its staff.

BBAT is not responsible for Acts of God– or weather conditions beyond its control.

Acknowledgement of Rider Responsibilities.

Riders must sign the ‘Indemnity and Release Form’ before setting out on his or her Adventure.

By signing the release form, the rider fully accepts the risk of personal injury, property damage or any loss associated with motorcycling.

Bikers ride at their own risk and are legally liable for injury or damage to fellow participants or other road users, whether being led by a BBAT team leader or otherwise. Each rider must ride within their own skill level and with due care and consideration for their own safety and of their fellow travellers and other road users.

Riders must follow the direction of the group leader, who reserves the right to terminate a rider’s adventure if he feels that the client is unsafe to himself or others. 

Riders are responsible for accident damage caused to his or her bike.

Photographs.

BBAT reserve the right to use any photographs of riders for promotional purposes.
