“Sinurambi” is one of the most spectacular homes in Sabah. It is perched 1350 feet above sea level and commands stunning views across the South China Sea. It is the home of Terry and Rose Mills and it will be your home for the duration of your Borneo Biking Adventure.

The accommodation comprises:

“The Honeymoon Cottage”,. It is very private and tucked just below the main house. It has private balconies overlooking the Marine Park, the Mountain and the entire city of Kota Kinabalu.

“The Ground Floor Bed Room” has a marble lined shower room and French Windows open on to a private breakfast area with sweeping views to the ocean and Mount Kinabalu.

“The Mt.Kinabalu Cottage” can be configured with twin or double beds and has a tiled shower room. It is located opposite the “Ground Floor Bed Room” and together they make an ideal family suite.

“The Otters House”: This detached apartment was originally built to house our tame otters who lived with us for two and half years. They eventually returned to the wild with their family of baby otters so we converted their house into a most romantic bedroom with en-suite bathroom and private balcony with panoramic views of the South China Sea.

On the first floor is situated “Quentin’s Room”, named after a good friend who claims it as his own on every visit. It has a 4 poster bed, a marble shower room and a private balcony with views across the Crocker Range to Mount Kinabalu.

The Tower: With its 360 degree views, it was formerly our office, library and observatory. We now use this room when we are overflowing. It has twin beds and shares a bathroom on the first floor and, of course, it has a balcony. We can convert this room to double bedroom.

The snooker room is situated on the first floor and it’s “musicians gallery’ looks down onto the lounge. Yet another balcony accommodates those who want to step outside for a smoke and admire the view.

Talking of smoking, all the rooms have balconies or decks, simply step out side for a drag.

The pool is adjacent to the house and guests are welcome to use it at any time. The staff is happy to bring you cocktails at the pool side.

The dining room has a huge dining table that easily (and often) seats twelve.

In addition we have some wonderful staff. There are maids, gardeners, a runner and a mechanic to take care of you and your needs.

The bikes and biking equipment are accommodated in their own garage at the side of the house.

There are lovely walks for those so inclined. You can take the road up to the Ranger Station and explore the trails beyond or descend the old logging road to the crystal clear stream where you may meet our otters. There is a river 10 minutes down the road where you can swim with our fresh water fishes. Some area are shallow enough for kids to splash and play.
